BookmarkLaurie Trayer is an accomplished musician and artist. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba of parents of German descent, Laurie is now living in Hope, British Columbia with her husband, Norm.
The mother of four grown children, Laurie recalls her own childhood filled with music. Like her father, who joined a Russian orchestra at the young age of eleven, Laurie followed in his foot steps, discovering her own musical talent at just eight years old.
Laurie is a self taught musician, playing many instruments by ear, and using her amazing talent to delight audiences. And yet, her creativity hardly ends with her musical ministry. She has enjoyed equal success as a painter, and has created a popular and prolific collection of works in just eight short years.
She approaches her home and garden, both impressive show pieces of interior design and landscaping, with the same artistic vision and personal style.
A Ribbon from my Hair is Laurie’s third piano CD. It is a musical celebration of the 1960′s, and of memories from a special time.
