When I think of Laurie Trayer, I can Honestly say, “Here is a woman who loves and adores her heavenly father with all that she is.”
Laurie expresses her love and passions through her many talents.
Her music is sincerely played from the heart and is done with the sole purpose of blessing the body and uplifting our Savior Jesus, so that He may be glorified.
As an artist, her love for nature and God’s majestic playground is beautifully recreated with paint on canvas. Her colorful interpretation really reflects the Master’s Creation.
Laurie has a great respect for life. This shines through her faithful love and devotion to her family and friends, she has no lack of domestic skills when it comes to making a house a home.
She also has a burden for the dying and the bereaved, she volunteers at her local Hospice Center, where the warmth of her smile is comfort to those who are so unfortunately afflicted.
Laurie, named Anne Lora by her parents, was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Peter and Helen Neufeld. Her parents, who are of German descent were both born in Russia and immigrated to Canada in the mid 1940′s.
Laurie now resides in Hope BC with her husband Norm.
Laurie started playing the piano at the age of 5, mind you this was an imaginary one on the windowsill! Her father bought her first real piano at the age of 8. She then followed in her father’s musical footsteps, as he was also a child prodogy, playing in the Russian Orchestra at the early age of 11.
Laurie, who plays by ear, taught herself how to play the organ, accordian, mandolin and Russian tuning guitar.
If you hum a song to her, she will have it arranged in no time.
This CD entitled, “We Have This Moment”, contains some of Laurie’s favorite songs which she truly plays with all her heart and soul on the piano.
